Casa 73 is a restaurant and bar in Toronto. Two spaces in the project specified Lumi-Onyx backlit translucent panels: the bar backwall and the restaurant bathroom. Different designs, same logic. The panel is the room’s focal point and the backlighting is the mechanism.
Madrid Red · Bar backwall The bar backwall at Casa 73 runs the full width of the room, floor to ceiling, with shelving built into it. The panel behind the shelving is Madrid Red from the Lumi-Onyx Ruby collection. Deep red with amber and rust cloud patterning, backlit from behind each shelf section. The bottles read as silhouettes against the glow. The panel sets the room’s temperature before a single drink is poured.

Each panel was cut to measure for the shelving configuration. Precise dimensions, 10 to 15 business day lead time, no minimum order quantity.
Stromboli · Bathroom The bathroom at Casa 73 uses Stromboli from the Lumi-Onyx Saphire collection. Blue-grey ground with a dense network of dark branching veins and rust breaks. Backlit, the cool ground glows and the vein structure reads in full relief across the wall. A surface that earns attention in a room where most designers default to tile.

Both panels are available translucent or opaque, in glossy or satin finish, on acrylic or polycarbonate substrate. Made to order and cut to order from our atelier.
